What is Psychology?

Our Registered and Provisional Psychologists provide tailored assessment, treatment and intervention in order to ensure a qualified, evidence-based approach to our client’s needs and goals.

Our Psychology team can assist with the healthy management of cognitive and/or mental health issues/concerns, support you in the navigation of neurodiversity; and develop tailored strategies that may assist during difficult times.

Our Psychology Team is available to undertake Diagnostic Assessments, Cognitive Assessments, Personality Assessments, and Academic Assessments. Our Assessment process is comprehensive to ensure we are offering our clients a qualified approach and ensuring ethical standards are applied at all times.

Seeing a Psychologist can be useful for the following reasons:

  • Psychologists help provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions such as depression, autism, anxiety, phobias, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, addiction, self-esteem/self-image problems, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, BPD, and many more.
  • Psychologists engage in talk-based therapy that has been extensively scientifically tested to ensure its effectiveness for treatment. Talk-based therapy is designed to help clients navigate difficult periods in their lives, or manage chronic conditions.
  • Psychologists will utilise more interactive methods for children and adolescents such as games, activities, worksheets and similar means in order to support learning and engagement.
  • Psychologists are able to conduct comprehensive assessments in order to diagnose a wide variety of conditions. These diagnoses can help you understand yourself, your needs and your neurodiversity. Assessments can lead to the identification of appropriate strategies/areas for support and the construction of navigational strategies. Assessments are also often used to help you apply for special consideration/support.

We provide the following comprehensive assessments:

  • Academic Assessments
  • ADHD Assessments
  • Autism Assessments
  • Cognitive Assessments
  • Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Mood Assessments
  • Personality Assessments
